Outreach Programmes
Outreach programmes are needs-based social services offered by the Department of Social Development to communities, households, and individuals. These programmes are delivered proactively to identify social needs, provide information, and link vulnerable people to appropriate support services.
The Department of Social Development delivers outreach programmes directly to communities as part of its preventative and early intervention mandate. These programmes are not applied for by individuals but are offered by the department based on identified needs, community requests, or scheduled outreach initiatives.
Outreach programmes aim to promote social well-being, prevent social problems, and improve access to social development services.
