About NC Thusong Service Centres

Thusong Service Centres are established to provide communities with integrated access to government information and services in a single, convenient location.

The Northern Cape Provincial Government works in cooperation with the national government and local municipalities to ensure that residents, particularly in rural and underserved areas, have access to essential public services, facilities, and information.

These centres support government’s commitment to improving service delivery by bringing services closer to the people and promoting accessibility, efficiency, and responsiveness.

Purpose of Thusong Service Centres

Thusong Service Centres aim to:

• Improve access to government services in remote and rural areas
• Provide a central point for multiple government departments
• Promote community development and access to opportunities
• Enhance service delivery through integrated government support 

Services Available

Through Thusong Service Centres, members of the public can access a wide range of services, including:

• Social services and grant-related enquiries
• Identity and civic services (through partner departments)
• Health and community services
• Employment and labour-related services
• Municipal services and community support programmes 

Centres may also provide access to:

• Government information and referrals
• Assistance with applications and documentation
• Internet access and digital services
• Basic administrative support services 

Accessing Thusong Services

Members of the public can access services by:

• Visiting a Thusong Service Centre during operating hours
• Attending scheduled outreach service days
• Engaging with officials present at the centres 

No appointment is required for general enquiries.
